About "the Gnar"

Gnar-Runners.com is a project that was started in July of 2006. Matt and Will Volpert, guides for Idaho River Journeys, started Gnar-Runners in hopes of creating a greater paddling online community. We hope this site grows with information as boatmen (this includes you gals as well) contribute their knowledge of runs, past experiences, and pictures to make this site a well-rounded "river encyclopedia."

Think of Gnar-Runners as your online campfire. There's nothing better than sitting around a campfire by the river bank swapping stories of gnarism with your fellow boaters. Share your stories here, read about awesome rivers, look at incredible photos. But, always bear in mind that "there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

So, read it here. Do it there.
